Another One Bites The Dust...

I had a smidgen of time before turning over the covers so I just thought I would add to my previous blog about out (lil) virus we have going around...it has a new victim: my hubby. Chris has now caught the bug and i'm sure will be up all night with it. So, now I have two people to take care of:) Hopefully all will be better by morning..GOODnight!

Pray For Baby Stellan...

Baby Stellan is still in limbo and the famiy is waiting to see how he is going to fair. With the lastest update from MckMama, she slept ok last night and Stellan stayed the same. If you would like to read her updates she can be found at my charming kids, please join me in praying for baby Stellan and a fast-full recovery. I know God is comforting them and pray that he will continue to grant them peace and see baby Stellan through it all!

"But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing." (Luke 9:11)

We Have Roll-Over & Roto Virus...

I haven't blogged about events for a couple of weeks now...so we'll start from the first BIG event, Riley rolled over! She rolled over (with her trying) a few days before Christmas at 3 months. Now, since she has figured out how to roll, she's rolling everywhere and so now it's a watchful eye ALL the time. The day after Christmas everyone around here caught the Roto Virus, so the lucky few who haven't so far include me, Chris, Riley....Logan was the latest victim. Luckily he wasn't that bad and is feeling much better today. Riley also slept in her crib for the first time and she was so comfortable, she slept until 9:30! Chris was a little upset that his baby girl was leaving our room...but he did much better last night with it. Everything else around here is pretty much the same. Here are some pics of Riley in her crib...

Back To Blogging...

Yeah now that I actually have a little bit of time to sit down and type I can get back to my blogging. I'll start where we left off, Christmas...it was great this year as always! We started off the morning with Riley having her first Christmas ever and we couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought her:) We hen finished up presents over here and headed to the in-laws for lunch and gifts. Logan had a blast over there...he got a basketball goal and a basketball just his size, and it was warm enough he got to go out and play. We ate lunch and came back to my mom and dads for the biggest present of all, Logan's new fourwheeler! He was soooo excited, so we finished up our day there. It was a great Christmas and we cannot wait for next year. We have tons of pictures but i'll only post a few so here we go...

A Letter To....

A wonderful mother...your a wonderful mother already, even though you may not be able to hold that baby in your arms....you are a wonderful mother. The struggle you go through makes you a wonderful mother, and will make you a an even better mother than most. Some of us have it so easy while other's have to struggle, we ask God why this is and never hear an answer but get to see it when you look at your baby in your arms. You are meant to be a mother, and will be, on God's time and by his will. All of the time and effort you put into trying to have a baby, makes you a wonderful mother. You are a pillar of strength and sometimes I wish I was as strong as you. I know you wonder if it will ever happen and why it is so hard for you...but in the end you will you find your answer. So, to this wonderful mother I offer my hopes and prayers everyday until God sees it fit to give you your little miracle. Just know that you are and always will be a wonderful mother!

Not Me Monday...

Ok, so it's time for Not Me Monday again...I missed last Monday so I figured I better get my act together today so here we go:

I did not find myself standing in line last night for an hour and half to see Santa, and then to top it all off he did not take a 30 min break when we got sooo close but yet so far...so I did not say forget it and leave!

Yet again I did not go tonight to stand in line for Santa, again, but this time it did not only take 15 min. and I was not kicking myself for not waiting until tonight to go!

I am not dreading the next few days (slightly) only because it's going to be crazy, chaotic, confusing and did I say CRAZY:)

Of course i'm not just now about to eat dinner at 9:30 due to our Santa excursion (see above) and I am soooo not looking forward to having my head hit that pillow and getting to go to sleep....whew;)

Tag I'm It...

I've been tagged by Amy over at Let's talk Thompsonisms....here's the rules:

1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder
3) Explain the picture
4) Tag 4 people to do the same

Now, since I added a new folder since the last one here's my new picture...

This is Logan at the circus with his clown hat on, it came with the cotton candy we got. He loved wearing this and matching the clowns!

Now i'm suppose to tag four people but i'm not choosin' so anyone reading who hasn't been tagged consider yourself IT!

Verses vs. Verses...

I have been wanting to do this for a while now but I know it's going to be a long post and take me a while to post them all but I feel like I need to post them now for my sake as well as other's. A few people I know are going through some hard times and some very trying times so I hope they find answers and inspiration here in some of the verses. The verses I am posting are ones that Logan is learning and memorizing this year in pre-k at Trinity. When I first saw some of them I was thinking there is now way he is going to memorize these but Logan along with the Lord has surprised me and he has memorized all of the ones Mrs. Lane has taught. I promised myself that I would memorize them with him...so here are "Our Verses"...

Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

John 1:3 "All things were made by him."

Psalm 139:14 "I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Psalm 18:30 "As for God, his way is perfect."

Phil. 4:19 "My God shall supply all your need."

Psalm 23:1-3 "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

Genesis 26:24 "Fear not, for I am with thee."

Psalm 106:1 "O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good."

Psalm 23:4-6 "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Luke 11:28 "Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I John 3:23 "Love one another."

Psalm 100:1-3 "Make joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture."

Matthew 8:27 "Even the winds and the sea obey him!"

Matthew 28:20 "Lo, I am with you always."

Psalm 56:3 "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee."

Psalm 100:4-5 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

I John4:8 "God is love."

Genesis 16:13 "Thou God seest me."

I John 4:19 "We love him, because he first loved us."

John 14:1-6 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas sayeth unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus sayeth unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

I Timothy 1:15 "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."

Proverbs 20:11 "Even a child is known by his doings."

Ephesians 4:32 "Be ye kind one to another."

John 10:27-30 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one."

John 14:14 "If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it."

I Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you."

Matthew 19:19 "Honour thy father and thy mother."

Galatians 5:14 "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself."

Psalm 145:9 "The Lord is good to all."

Now as a challenge to all of you...memorize the verses and share them with your children, I guarantee you they can memorize them!

Fireproof...

If you've been in Lifeway during the past few months you have probably noticed pre-sales for the dvd called Fireproof. It is getting released mid-January and I cannot wait! The movie is form the same creators of Facing the Giants and Flywheel, it's a movie about a firefighter who is in a failing marriage and is willing to leave it behind. His father gives him a challenge that opens his (Caleb Holt’s played by Kirk Cameron) eyes to the love he has at home and the love he has in Christ. It is a great story and I cannot wait for it to finally be on dvd! It also has a guide (book) that is the 40 day challenge Caleb's father made him do in the movie. It has some awesome verses and advice that you take in and keep with you for the rest of your life & marriage. I believe it's a great tool to have and share especially with your husband/wife. I pray that me and Chris NEVER get to the point in our marriage where we feel like it's lost but it is nice to know that if it ever does, we can look back and remember what we learned from the book and movie: that with Christ in your life & marriage nothing is doomed to fail! I put the movie trailer below hope you guys enjoy....

We Have Bumbo...

I have been wanting to get Riley a Bumbo seat because at 2 1/2 months the child is already trying to sit up. She only likes to be on her back for 2 reasons: a diaper and to sleep, at least she doesn't mind for those which is nice:) So, I went on the hunt for a Bumbo seat today and found one at Target. I got the last pink one they had, now the cost wasn't too bad for a piece of soft plastic but it could have been a little less. All in all it wasn't a bank breaker so I bought it...so we got home and I opened the box took out the new throne and on it our princess sat, and she... LOVED it! Not that I don't love holding her so she can sit up, but sometimes when I need to do bottles and her swing or Boppy seat aren't working I have to hold her. This is the perfect solution and we couldn't be happier with the results. She has already been sitting in her seat watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...which she likes because of the colors. Of course being the picture hog I am I had to take some pictures so I could share...

Riley loving her seat(yes the paci says "Mute Button", it was a must:)

A good investment..

Not Me Monday...

Ugh...after a long...long...long Monday here is a list of things that I Have NOT Done:)

I did not spend the whole weekend avoiding the house chores because to tell you the truth the piles of laundry and dishes kinda scared me!

Me of all people absolutely did not enjoy getting to dress up and spend the night out with friends on Sat. to celebrate Jamie's graduation.

I didn't jump for joy today when we got to finally finish the cabinets, pay for them and have them ordered to be delivered in 5 weeks...YEAH:)

Lastly I am not fixing to make me some hot chocolate (with milk) even though it's not cold outside...just because I really want some...Me...NEVER:)

Hope everyone had a Not Me Monday...Monday!

Picture Tag...

My friend Lauren (Of Love & Loss) did a picture tag for everyone who read her "picture tag" post. Here are the rules for the tag...

1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer

2) Select the 4th picture in the folder

3) Explain the picture

4) Tag 4 people to do the same

NO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

Here's Mine:

This is our munchkin'...Logan was about 8 months in this picture. We were on vacation in Tenn. and had to put him in the pack an play to keep him in one spot while we got ready. I actually loved looking at that folder it was his baby pictures and I haven't looked at them in a while. Looking at him now at almost 5 years old it's amazing remembering those "baby days"..:)

OK, so now whoever reads this post your tagged...I can't choose just four so have fun!

Thoughtful Thursday...

Hmmm...today I am thinking of two very good friends of mine. One is going to find out if her little one will be wearing pink or blue. I hope lil mr. or miss. will let them have a "sneak peek" so they can tell everyone! The other friend is finding out today if those two pink lines are gonna show up for them and i'm praying so hard that they do. So today is already filled with anticipation and prayers for both and I hope they both get the answer they want and are praying for. Now since I don't have to be up and I am, the bed is calling be back:) Just had to get those thoughts and prayers out!

The Gators & Gov. Huckabee...

Our weekend consisted of the Gators who of course played for the SEC Championship & WON! We went over to my in-laws and watched the game...I was about to strangle my husband who was gonna have a heart attack until the 4th quater! I always had faith in them and knew they were gonna pull it off and become 2008 SEC Champs, Chris wasn't so confident and stressed himself out:) So now the Gators are headed to the National Championship game...can't wait...GO GATORS! After the game we had to hurry and head over to Borders bookstore Gov. Huckabee was having a book signing so off we went and prayed we made it on time. We got there at 8:30 and the signing started at 9 so we got in line and waited. The Gov. arrived 15 min. early so we got through the line and had the book signed by 9:10! We were surprised at how quick it was and it was nice to get to meet Gov. Huckabee, he congratulated us on the Gators winning. I guess he figured we were fans from having Gators on from head to toe:) I'm looking forward to reading his book, I have to wait until Chris gets done, so maybe by next month i'll be able to start it...lol:) We have our Christmas Tree up finally and the house is all ready for Santa's arrival in a few weeks!

Not Me Monday...

I did not put off doing clothes because I wold much rather spend my time reading my book in the two hours of the day that I actually had two hours to read.

Why would I find myself getting upset that out lil' baby girl is getting too big too quick and is almost 2 1/2 months old, of course I wouldn't...not me!

I did not get excited when I found out they will be starting brick on the house tomorrow..who would get excited about that.

I didn't forget to finish adding ingredients to the Amish friendship bread that I wanted to make REALLY bad (sorry Ashlee), so now I don't have to throw it out and try and find another starter bag....:(

I'm not enjoying the hot chocolate I just made with milk instead of water, and it did not turn out SO YUMMY..and I would never add whipped cream on the top to make it even better..nope not I;)

Last but not least I DID NOT walk in my bedroom to find my son wearing this...

NO Explanation Needed!

We Shall Call Him Neigh-Neigh

Neigh-Neigh is a little horse toy that we got from the Babies R' Us at Regency when it was closing. He was only $4 and is so worth every penny! Yesterday I laid Riley under her play mat and I hung this little horse above her, she was having a blast smiling and laughing at him. She is getting the hand to mouth coordination down and was putting her hand out to touch him and he would jingle every time she would hit him. She thought this was AMAZING and couldn't be more pleased with herself. We were at my in-laws last night and I was telling Mrs. Gina about this and she was telling me how one day when they had watched Riley they were playing with him (I had packed him in her bag) and they had decided to name him Neigh-Neigh. Perfect name since when you mash his sides he neighs...so the moral to the story is Riley has her first pet(toy) a horse who shall be named Neigh-Neigh and I think he'll be sticking around for a long time! On a side note Riley had her first set of shots today, she did very good and only cried for a few minutes...however after the Tylenol wore of she was in alot of pain and extremely fussy, so I gave her some more Tylenol and she has calmed down but please pray she doesn't have to go through any more extreme pain like that...I will be administering Tylenol every 4 hours so hopefully it will be a good painless night:)
